Insurance FAQ’s

  • Special Therapies, Inc. is not contracted as a network provider with any insurance network.  It is your responsibility to verify benefits prior to your first visit.
  • Special Therapies, Inc. requires payment at the time of service.   However,  we file insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients, if requested.  Please note that we are not responsible for how your insurance company handles its claims or for what benefits they pay on a claim.
  •  If you would like us to submit claims on your behalf, please provide us with your insurance card at your first visit and keep us updated of any changes such as policy name, insurance address or change of employment.
  •  We do not accept assignment which means the insurance company will reimburse you directly, according to your plan.

When contacting your insurance company, it is important to verify the following information as it pertains to your OUT OF NETWORK coverage:

  1. Deductible: This is portion of eligible medical expenses that you must pay before the insurance company with make any benefit payments.
  2.  Coinsurance: This is the percentage of coverage that the insurance company agrees to pay after your deducible is met.
  3. Out of pocket maximum: This is the maximum amount that you will be required to pay, according to your insurance policy.
  4. Is there a limit on the number of sessions that your policy allows?
